New Amplification Feedback Engine
Equipped with LIFES™ Ver.1.1

New Amplification Feedback Engine
Equipped with LIFES™ Ver.1.1

LIFES™ (Luxman Integrated Feedback Engine System) with Quadruple-Parallel, Quadruple Output Stage Configuration is an amplification engine designed to breathe life into every musical signal. Developed with LUXMAN’s centennial vision in mind, LIFES inherits the fundamental concept of our acclaimed ODNF™ (Only Distortion Negative Feedback) architecture while being completely redesigned from the ground up. Every aspect of the circuit has been renewed to achieve a simpler, more compact design utilizing carefully selected, high-performance components that ensure long-term supply stability. LIFES feeds back only distorted audio components detected as the difference between the input and output signals by a dedicated differential error amplifier. This unique approach combines the natural openness and vitality of a non-feedback amplifier with the outstanding linearity and stability of negative feedback amplification, achieving an exceptional balance between musicality and technical performance. Five years after its debut in the M-10X in 2021, LIFES has continued to evolve through implementation across numerous LUXMAN components. Now, Version 1.1 further improves performance by paralleling the input stage of the differential error amplifier, resulting in even lower distortion and higher precision. The B-100 CENTENNIAL features the latest LIFES Ver.1.1 in LUXMAN’s most ambitious output stage to date. Four independent output modules, each employing a three-stage Darlington cascade, are quadruple paralleled in a push-pull configuration, forming a 4 × 4 output architecture that represents the highest-capacity implementation of LIFES ever realized. With meticulously optimized bias current, the amplifier operates in pure Class A up to 25 watts (8 Ω) while delivering 125 watts into 8 Ω and an instantaneous peak output of 1,000 watts into 1 Ω. The result is extraordinary power linearity and unrivaled drivability, allowing the B-100 CENTENNIAL to reproduce music with remarkable naturalness, effortless dynamics, and an exceptionally open, vibrant sound.

Highly-regulated Power Supply
Large EI-Core Power Transformer and High-Capacity Filter Capacitors

Highly-regulated Power Supply
Large EI-Core Power Transformer and High-Capacity Filter Capacitors

To faithfully reproduce not only every nuance of the musical signal but also the emotion behind it, an amplifier must respond instantaneously to constantly changing demands for power. LUXMAN’s answer is the Highly-regulated Power Supply. By combining a large, highly regulated power transformer with exceptional voltage stability and high-capacity filter capacitors capable of delivering massive instantaneous current, the amplifier maintains a vast reservoir of stored energy. This “energy reserve” enables it to supply power effortlessly and without hesitation, even during the most demanding musical transients. The power supply that supports the B-100 CENTENNIAL’s formidable output of 125 W into 8 Ω and an instantaneous peak output of 1,000 W into 1 Ω is the most powerful ever incorporated into a LUXMAN amplifier. At its heart is a 1,250 VA Super Regulated EI-core power transformer, wound with rectangular copper wire to achieve exceptionally high magnetic coupling and low power loss. Working in tandem are sixteen custom-developed 10,000 μF filter capacitors, first introduced in 2021 and now employed across numerous LUXMAN products, providing a total capacitance of an extraordinary 160,000 μF. The transformer is mounted on vibration-damping rubber within a dedicated, shielded compartment on the left side of the chassis, isolating it from both mechanical vibration and electromagnetic interference. The sixteen filter capacitors are arranged in two vertically stacked banks of eight, with each bank linked through equidistant, closely positioned connection points. This optimized layout minimizes impedance while ensuring efficient current delivery throughout the amplifier, contributing to its exceptional stability, dynamic performance, and effortless musical expression.

Ultra-Low Impedance Signal Transmission

Ultra-Low Impedance Signal Transmission

To achieve the exceptional loudspeaker drivability demanded of a reference-class monaural power amplifier, every aspect of the B-100 CENTENNIAL has been engineered for ultra-low impedance signal transmission. A newly developed large-gauge output conductors carry the amplifier’s output signal with minimal resistance. This is paired with a newly designed heavy-duty output coil and low-resistance speaker relays.

Peel-Coat Circuit Boards

Peel-Coat Circuit Boards

The B-100 CENTENNIAL employs 100 μm-thick, resist-free, gold-plated peel-coat printed circuit boards throughout every audio signal stage. By removing both the solder resist (protective coating) and residual flux from the signal paths, dielectric effects are minimized, resulting in a significant improvement in performance, particularly at high frequencies.

Custom-Engineered Components

Custom-Engineered Components

At LUXMAN, careful component selection is an essential part of amplifier design. Beyond major elements such as the power transformer and high-capacity filter capacitors, every resistor, capacitor, and internal connection wire is meticulously evaluated. Newly added to the input signal path are wires made with 7N Class D.U.C.C.* conductors, further enhancing signal purity and overall performance.

Distinctive Three-Dimensional Design

Distinctive Three-Dimensional Design

Finished in LUXMAN’s elegant Blasted White silver finish, the B-100 CENTENNIAL commands attention with its imposing proportions—440 mm wide, 243 mm high, and 651 mm deep. Sharing the design language of the D-100 CENTENNIAL, the amplifier features a striking 18 mm-thick front panel with dramatically slanted side profiles, complemented by a 6 mm-thick hairline-finished top plate.

Classic Analog Needle Meter

Classic Analog Needle Meter

Dominating the front panel is the dancing needle of a large analog meter, elegantly framed in a design that pays homage to LUXMAN’s legendary B-10 power amplifier. Soft white LEDs cast a warm, incandescent shower of light across the meter’s face, creating a timeless, classic ambience while complementing the amplifier’s modern styling. Positioned beneath the meter, a series of LED status indicators provide clear operational information.

CENTENNIAL Badge

CENTENNIAL Badge

LUXMAN celebrated the 100th anniversary of its founding in 2025. To commemorate this historic milestone, we created a special CENTENNIAL badge with a polished chrome finish, exclusively reserved for products designed and manufactured as part of our centennial celebration.

Highly-Rigid Chassis

Highly-Rigid Chassis

The B-100 CENTENNIAL is housed within LUXMAN’s loop-less chassis construction, engineered to eliminate increases in ground impedance caused by chassis currents while isolating the circuitry from unwanted magnetic interference. Its foundation is an exceptionally rigid dual-layer chassis bottom, formed by laminating 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm steel plates into a robust 5.5 mm-thick structure.

Premium-Quality Input and Output Terminals

Premium-Quality Input and Output Terminals

The B-100 CENTENNIAL is equipped with premium-grade input and output terminals designed to ensure uncompromising signal integrity and long-term reliability. For analog inputs, LUXMAN’s original highly rigid RCA terminals provide an exceptionally secure connection, while the balanced XLR inputs utilize highly reliable connectors manufactured by Neutrik, renowned for their precision and durability.

Highly Robust AC Inlet

Highly Robust AC Inlet

The B-100 CENTENNIAL features an AC inlet engineered to provide exceptional mechanical stability. Its robust construction supports the weight of the attached power cable across the entire connector assembly, ensuring a secure and stable connection while minimizing mechanical stress on the contact points. This contributes to long-term reliability and consistent power delivery, allowing the amplifier to perform at its full potential.
